Sleeping Giant!

Phew....she's down for the count. I am exhausted, and my house looks like a tornado ripped through it!!! I am having company over Friday night, boy I have a lot of work to do before anyone comes over.

Paige is sleeping and I just want to take some "me" time - kwim? I am going to surf the next, while sitting on my tushy. Then I'll take a shower and put on fresh clothing. By then PJ will for sure be up and demanding all my time again. I am going to get Darren to take her in the truck for a drive maybe so I can get some cleaning done. This house is a diaster!!!

At the end of the day I supposed it doesn't matter how clean my house it, it really only matters how I cuddled, and comforted my little angel.

Sick PJ today!

Well, our lovely daughter started to sniffle and have a raspy voice Monday night. Then we had a really rough night with her waking up crying every few hours. We gave her Tylenol around the clock until the morning and sent her to the dayhome with meds and warm clothes....

....last night Darren tried to go to his football banquet and he was there for 15mins and had to leave because princess PJ was screaming her head off! She was MISERABLE all evening, wanted to be cuddled and not put down. I joined the party mix after a 12 hr shift and was exhausted. I put her to bed, and she continued to cry all night. By 1am she ended up in bed with us because I was just too tired to continue to go in her room and help her back to sleep. Poor girl was waking up every couple of hours coughing and her nose being completely plugged. I decided to stay home with her today instead of sending her to the dayhome. I guess everyone there is sick too. Paige seams to be the last of the few kids to catch what they all have. I am praying I don't get it. I have soooo much work to do, and being home today is killing me!

Anyway...I can't even get much done, as I have to cuddle Miss Paige while she watches Dora. I think that will be the case the ENTIRE day!

Can anyone help me find my keys? I haven't seen them since November 1oth. I was cleaning up our kitchen...for Darren's Poker Party. I saw my keys on the counter, and put them in a safe place so I wouldn't loose them. So that's the last I remember seeing them. I NEED my keys! They have my remote starter and I am DYING without it!

Anyone??? Please, did I leave them at your house??? Where are they???

Little Domanic!!

Here is a photo of my great-nephew Domanic. He was born Nov 10th, 10 weeks premature. He is in the intensive care unit, and needs some extra love! Poor little guy had a perforated bowel and ended up having major abdominal surgery and now has a colostomy. He is doing amazingly well, and is such a stong little boy. His parents are very young, and have a very long road ahead of them. Keep them in your thougths and prayers too.

I have been pretty emotionally spent lately, but I think that that has to do with my Aunt Flo who should be arriving any moment now. I have cried, I've laughed, I've ranted and I've raved! Don't you fellow women love that time of the month.

My nephew's (16 yrs old) girlfriend had their baby boy Nov. 10th. He was 10 week premature. I went to visit the little guy at the NICU. He is doing amazingly, I am so relieved to see that he will be okay. I am worried about his parents though! It must be a lot to handle becoming a parent at that age, and then handling all the illness that come with a premature baby. I am quite happy to see that her family is going to be a strong support system, and they appear loving and kind. I am happy that this little guy will have a bit of a chance for a future in her family. I should ask permission to post a photo of him so you can see what a little treasure he is.

Don't tell PJ, but Santa send me a note that he is bring her this bed for Christmas! She has been sleeping in her crib set up as a daybed for a couple if weeks, and she's doing amazingly! She has only fallen out a couple of times - and we think she's ready for a big girl bed. Our little girl is growing up so fast!

I was having the MOST frustrating evening with Paige. (Darren went to bed at 3pm because he's been working 2am-2pm all week and is starting to burn out.) I left the house with Paige to go to my WW meeting - and she cried the entire time. I did my weigh in, and it was terrible. I had a terrible week. I was expecting it, but you know when it happens you just feel down. I am getting back on track starting tomorrow. And I know I can continue my trek to a healthier me. Anyway, back to Paige. I didn't stay for the meeting because she was miserable, so I thought I'd take her for something to eat. I drove to Kelsey's, and ordered our food. She was in an okay mood, drank some apple juice. Then all of a sudden she started crying again! She was inconsolable. She wouldn't stop.

Our food arrived and I just asked our server to pack it up to take home. She cried the entire way home. At home I felt her stomach and it was rock hard. She hadn't pooped yet, so I stripped her down and put her on the toilet! We stayed there for a little while and played. I read her a story all the while getting her to "push". Then all of a sudden "faaaaaartttt, ploooop". SHE WENT POO IN THE TOILET!!!! I was exstatic, I went balistic cheering and clapping. She got excited and was looking in the toilet saying "poo poo!".

Just when you think you're having the worst time ever....something wonderful happens to remind you that things will be okay afterall!

My Family - October 24th, 2006

This is the shot I am considering sending out with our Christmas cards this year. My friend Lynelle did an AMAZING job and we literally have hundreds of fantastic shots to choose from!

Paige had a bad night last night. Poor girl was crying off and on for hours! At one point I went in to see if she was okay and she was holding her legs in the air crying "Nooo, mommy, owie, mommy, owie!" I wonder if she's too young for growing pains?

Around 1am she was crying again, then I heard a "THUD" and much stronger crying. I ran in to her room to find she'd fallen off her bed! Poor girl. I scooped her up an brought her in bed with me. She tossed and turned - and cried all night. Poor girl is not having that good of a day today. She's quite unhappy. I took her shopping to get a birthday present for her cousin, and she was so cranky. I even got her McDonalds for lunch (her favorite!) and she barely even touched her "fee fees" (french fries) or her "teese" (grilled cheese). She sleeping now for a nap, and I am watching Days of our Lives. It is a small escape for me. I have so much to do in the messy house!

I am carless again today - D's. truck is in getting new tires and major overhaul! A couple of thousand dollars later....he's learnt his lesson on NOT getting the regualr scheduled maitenance done. ARGH, this is sooo not what we needed at this time of year. With Christmas and our Mexico trip coming up we need the extra money now! He took his truck in Wed. for new tires...then had them check something...and now it won't be ready until tonight. I have been without a car all day yesterday, now all day today. I feel sooo stranded at home.

Yesterday I got a coworker to come and take PJ and I to WEM shopping, that was great. But today I had a big shopping day planned - I was going to finish all our shopping! Now I am forced to stay home all day and clean!

I have decided that I'll start at 10am and work hard for 30 mins, then play (sit, read, internet, Play with Paige for 15 mins)...and continue the cycle until Paige needs lunch. She'll be watching a lot of Dora today!

Paige slept until 8:45am today! I feel like a new woman! I got up at 8, and got to eat my cereal in peace - and cruise the net alone!

I have to stay home today and do some clean up. I was working on the weekend, and our home was neglected. Darren is hosting this weeks "Boys night out" so the house has to be tidy. Although, I am not sure that any men would notice the dust bunnies or the fact that the toilet seats are a little dirty. I still clean them anyways.

This is Paige's idea of a fun Sunday night. We couldn't keep her out of the crate with my brother's dog! The dog was so worried about her being in her "house" so that everytime Paige went up to the crate, Marley went in the crate with her. It was sooo adorable. My brother's dogs are so good with Paige and she just loves them!

I backed in to a Yukon today :( I have a little Toyota Corolla...I am sooo stupid. I broke off the platic cover for the hitch on their SUV. I immediately went in to the business it was in front and found the "Yukon" owner. I appologized over and over again, and gave her my name and number, then offered to have it repaired. I hope it doesn't end up costing me too much. There is a big scratch in my car's back bumper, but that is a scar I have to live with since it was my fault.
