Last night while changing her into her jammies, Paige decided to "sample" her toes!! She wouldn't stop chewing on them!

Sorry the quality if very poor, it was a dark room, and our camera is not the best at taking clips in darker situations. I will try and get a new one soon for you!!

Argh..my back is already sore. We are starting day three of eight, and I feel exhausted already! We are not even done in the basement in our "home purge pre-selling" phase! I can't believe the junk we've accumuated over the last 7 years. I am sure my neighbors will think I am dealing drugs because I have people coming at all hours of the day to pick up stuff I've listed on Freecycle. For those of you unfamiliar with this site - it's a great place you can list things you have for free to give away, or post things you need, and people will come and pick it up from you at your convenience. The stuff you think might be junk, and are ready to put in the garbage, could be exactly what someone is looking for! Anyway, I use the Sherwood Park site, but there is an Edmonton one too. I would check them out. It's a great alternative to filling the land fills. I just love it. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Freecycle-Edmonton/messages and http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Sherwoodpark-freecycle/messages
So..anyone know someone who wants to buy a condo in Sherwood Park?
Anyone know someone that will watch my baby during the day so we can be more productive? ROFL.

Paige crawled last night! It was amazing...we were just cheering and yelling, so she stopped, sat up and started clapping. I got the camera and she still was crawling some more, so I managed to get a video clip of it. I wish I could post video clips here...maybe I can, I just don't know how!
We are having a really busy week - we are preparing our home for selling. Today we mostly cleaned/packed up the basement. We still have to finish getting the rest of the stuff up from the basement, then patch the walls and re-paint all the walls white. And that's just the basement.

So here are the fantastic details to our Valentine's surprise.
We were picked up at 5pm and were take to Fiore Italian Cantina for one of the best meals I have had in ages. I got to eat HOT food, at my own pace!! (For those of you who are expecting...get used to eating cold food on your child's schedule - not yours!!) I had the most delicious salad and then baked salmon with garlic shrimp and lobster stuffed ravioli. It was amazing. I also had my share of white wine, and ice cream with strawberries for dessert.
Then we were taken to the Muttart Conservatory for the "Sweetheart's Stoll". It was soooo romantic. They had all the insides of each pyramid darkened, lit only by beautiful paper mache lanterns and some colored lights. We were serenaded by various musicians, treated to chocolate desserts and sipped on champagne as we strolled. One lady made a love knot for us, reciting some corney routine, making us kiss and vow to "love each other forever". And we also received a caricature of ourselves! What a fantastic night. Oh...and at the end a band played as we learnt how to salsa dance - then we were free to do it ourselves! Darren wouldn't dance with me, so Erin had to fill in for him. It was a night I will never forget. Thank you soooo much H.'s for treating us to a majical romantic evening. Here is the caricature of us:

I don't know if it's the gorgeous weather we've been having that has been keeping me away from this computer, or just the fact that we have been so busy!
Our date night Friday was amazing! We had sooo much fun. Paige was a good girl at Auntie F's. When we went to pick up Paige on Saturday, she was in such a good mood. Then we went to my friend Laura's son's 3rd birthday party. What a nice time. The sun was shining so beautifully.
Sunday we also went to another birthday party for T & S's boy C. He turned 5. It was also a good time, with beautiful weather. Who knew that on February 12th, I would only need to wear a small vest instead of my parka!! I love this weather.
We have a very busy day today - yoga, Millenium Place playgroup, then picking up the niece and nephew for the night. I will stay there as their parents are going on their date night!

Has anyone else been having "issues" with the blog website lately? I have not been able to blog for the last few days - there has always been a problem with me getting in, or they were doing repairs. Oh well, I am here now!
So here's the week in a Reader's Digest version:
Monday - Baby and Mom Yoga, then playgroup at Millenium Place, then shopping for groceries and to H & M Produce for many a veggie and fruit.
Tuesday - Stars and Strollers Movie. It was Nanny McPhee. I have to say I really enjoyed this movie. It was kind of like Harry Potter meets Mary Poppins. It was pretty cute. Then I went to visit Roxy and her kids and ended up staying there all night visiting.
Wednesday - I can't remember what I did this day... :-(
Thursday - Went swimming at Millenium Place. Paige was not too thrilled with the water this time. I think it was too cold for her. And I got to see the lifeguard dive in the water to save some little boy who went a little to far in to the deep end. It was pretty exciting, but unfortunate for the little boy. He ended up fine. Just needed a little help.
Then I had my Weight Watcher meeting...and I lost 1.6 lbs! So that puts me at -8.6 lbs lost so far! I can't believe it's been three weeks already. I am so proud of myself. Not only for loosing weight, but making a lifestyle change to become a healthier person.
So that leaves us for today. I am getting my eyebrows waxed at 1pm, then I am taking Paige out to Fort. Sask. to stay with her Auntie F. and the kids. Paige loves going there - those cousins of hers are so wonderful to her, she is so lucky to have so many people that think the world of her. I just pray she is a good girl as we are planning on leaving her overnight. Darren and I have a date night planned tonight. We are going out for supper and then bowling. No, not the most romantic date ever...but for us it will be special. We have not been on a date in ages! And we'll be kid free - which in itself is a major goodness.

Went out last night for a long overdue girls night. I met some of my mom's group friends, and we went to a local lounge for "a drink".....well, one drink turned into two, two turned into three, three turned into shooters...you get the picture. We actually stayed drinking until the bar closed! Wow! Haven't done that in a LONG time. I had such a fabulous time. I really needed it. It was so much fun. I finally fell asleep sometime around 5am this morning. My sweet hubby let me sleep until 11am, and he took care of Paige all morning. Then when I woke up - he went to get me some McDonalds. Only greasy fries can cure the strongest of hang overs. Let's just say I am WAY over my points for WW this weekend. I am going to have to do some major meal planning this week to get back on schedule.

Yesterday's movie was "The Matador". It was an "okay" movie - and again, not what you'd expect as a Stars and Strollers' movie. Why do they keep picking ones with raunchy sex scenes? Is it for the mothers? Do they think we need some more excitement in our days? Well, lets just say that every man over 40 in the croud thought the movie was great! They were all laughing at the jokes us "young mothers" thought tasteless.
Today we are expecting a visit from Auntie E. for lunch - can't wait! Seeing as how Paige is still sleeping, she is sure to be in a good mood for our lunch visitor.
In a desperate attempt to gain more sleep, I bought some herbal medicine for Paige. So many other mothers suggested them to me - teething tablets. Tonight is Paige's second night getting them. It is either that she is just getting better sleep because she's feeling better, or the teething tablets are working. Just to be sure...I'm not stopping giving the to her!!! Why mess with a potentially good thing???
Oh, one more thing before I go. I stopped at County Clothes Line last week to see how much they were selling all of my closet junk for. I never saw anything on the shelves yet. I did however manage to find this steal of a deal. I found an old Playskool telephone, circa 1985, for $4.00. I remember having one and playing with it all the time. I know that they had all since been recalled - and I found an original one!! Paige loves it. Here she is banging it to make it ring.
