P.B.& J. (The Paige and Blake Journey)

Where does the time go? I feel like I just blink and then a week is gone. Here is what's on my mind.

I like watching Big Brother, and that Amber cried WAY too much! Now she's on Power of 10...and crying again. WAAAAMBER is her new name.

Why do I eat so much candy at night? I crave it, and go nuts looking for something sweet and don't stop until I find it. Then I can't fall asleep. I like sleep, but I LOVE candy.

The baby moves lots now. I can really feel my joints moving and my muscles pulling. I felt the baby kick my hand two days ago. It was one of the sweetest feelings in the world. Ranks right up there with hearing "Love you sooo much Mommy!"

Joyful Week

On Wednesday I got off work early to go for my ultrasound. I got there and JB did my ultrasound. I was excited and nervous. I had been having bad dreams about all the things that "could" be wrong, and not getting much sleep. I couldn't wait to see the bay on the screen. Darren got Paige and met me when the scan was done. It was most exciting to see Paige's reaction to watching the baby on the screen. It was adorable. She was saying "Look Baby! He's swimming!". We did NOT find out what gender the baby is, we're keeping it a surprise. Baby was not cooperating and moved around lots. Here are some of the photos.

The baby weighs 12 ounces, and it's heartrate was 149. It put my due date at January 6, 2008.

Friday morning I started to feel much better after a long night of sleeping. I got lots of running around done and then we got ready for camping. I knew I was pushing myself a little too bit, exhausted and stomach crampy - I ignored those feelings and pushed on. We were packed and ready to leave the city at 4:30pm, the proceeded to be trapped on a road in Sherwood Park for over 1/2hr for a big accident. Sadly, one person died and we got to see others air lifted by STARS to the hospital. I am praying for those poor young people who made some poor choices on Friday.

We got to the lake by 7:30pm, and I was done! Truly exhausted, and my stomach was not happy. I just took it easy and tried to make the best of the weekend. I ended up being a camp medic around 9pm, and that took up the rest of my evening. Why does this stuff keep following me?!?!?

Sleep was almost non-existent this past weekend. The weather was terrible, my poor neighbors had a very unhappy teething baby that was crying and keeping everyone up all night. I feel badly for them mostly cause at least I could just "roll over and go back to sleep", they could not. Sunday some woke up to the cold rainy Alberta weather with either sleeping aches, hangovers, or genuine illness. I felt blisfull, exhausted, and ready for an other two days off!!

Hello from my bathroom, my fellow bloggers. Please do not keep reading if your stomach is sensitive or you don't want to hear my yucky sick details.

So I've called in sick to work this morning. I have had a sore throat since last night, and it's been getting progressively worse overnight. In the middle of the night I was hit with a bad case of diarrhea, and then this morning the vomiting started. I have been on, or kneeling beside my porcelain throne since 5am. I am exhausted. I am just wondering how I am going to take care of my daughter today. I might just put a towel under my butt and drive her to her dayhome. It's close, so I am sure I'll make it there and back without an accident. Yes, that is what I'll do when she wakes up. I have nothing left to barf up...and my throat is REALLY raw now!

I am sure that there can't be too much left inside me....

It was a fantastic day off work today. I got to sleep in until 8:30am. It was fabulous! Then I got to relax and get ready at my own pace. Paige and I then went to McDonalds Playplace for a birthday party - three pregnant mommas, two mom's with young toddlers, and one with a newborn. 9 kids in total.

I have to go back to work tomorrow, sigh. Three days of work, then camping ahead. I am really looking forward to it.

I just sneezed and bit my tongue. Ouch.

Anyone else feel lazy today? I have only one day off before I have to go work two 12 hr shifts, I don't feel like doing anything today! I am going to a birthday party tonight - so I'll just take it easy, nap with my girl too.

This rain is sooo affecting my mood. I feel so tired and energyless. I might shower sometime today, other than that, today's a write off!

Take warning - DO NOT CHEW GOBSTOPPERS!!! They can, and will chip your teeth! Were you aware of how hard it is to get in to see a dentist in August? Every mother in Sherwood Park has an appointment booked for their children to be seen before school starts!!

P.S. I am 18 weeks pregnant today! Woo hoo!!!! Pictures soon...I promise.

It has been a long weekend - but extremely fun! We had an amazing time at BVJ, and REALLY enjoyed our "childless" 5 days. My mother offered to take the little miss the whole time, and it was fantastic!

I have to head back to work tomorrow. I am sad.

Oh..and I made $80 at the Casino in Camrose last night. I had so much fun playing Roulette until 2am. And the owner mistakingly took me for a "High Roller" who "normally circuits" Red Deer!! ROFL!! It was a funny, confusing moment for Darren and I.

Glad to be back home, and sleeping in my own bed.

An other blogger at work!

I actually survived a really rough evening yesterday. On my way home from work:

1. I slipped on a manhole cover and fell down in my parking lot. I twisted my right ankle, and now it's a little bruised and sore.

2. Two sets of vehicals rear ended each other on the Quesnell bridge about haf a dozen cars in front of me on my drive home.

3. I was a witness and had to play rescuer to an accident on the Whitemud Eastboud around 111St. This caused me to get completely soaked by the downpour of rain, and have some sore muscles today. At least I wasn't involved in the collision!

I think I'll leave work early today, I have LOTS of sick time. I could really use a massage. Maybe I could get in today. I wonder if there is someone in Camrose/Big Valley offering up services? At least I have something really fun and wonderful to look forward to tomorrow!!!
