"I am Certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support - Can I help you?"
Busy day again...but what else is new. Took Paige for her 4 month well check at Dr. Hosford. Everything is great! My little rose bud is 14lbs! She is supposed to start on solid foods now. (Secretly I have already tried - Paige is not a fan of them...she likes her boobie!) I guess I'll have to make a solid effort at it now (pardon the pun - Ha Ha!). I'll cook some real foods for her. I bought some carrots from the farmer's market to cook for her - we'll see how it goes!
After the doctor's appt. I decided to go to my parent's place. They are away for the month of August, so I thought I'd spend some time and make it look "lived in". From there I went to Walmart - and the excitement began! I was browsing through the shoe section, after a lengthy baby section shop - and I hear a frantic, out of breath voice over the intercom "CODE WHITE SHOES, CODE WHITE SHOES!!" Hummm, I was already in the shoes section, and being the nosey girl that I am, I went out to the main isle and thought I'd see what a code white was. There I found an old man on the ground. I ran over and introduced myself as trained in advanced cardiac life support - boy were they happy to see me! This old guy was having chest pains. I asked them right away if they had called an ambulance - and they wern't sure, so I told them to call again. Then asked if they had an oxygen tank - the old guy was breathing, and had a weak pulse, but looked rather pale. They didn't know if they had a tank - or where the emergency kit was. I told them to go look for it. I sat with this guy - he says "I don't want an ambulance." So I say, "well they're already on the way - Sorry." (knowing damn well he needed them!!) The paramedics arrived and whisked him off to the hospital. His wife thanked me, then I was off to try on a pair of shoes!!
Now I am home - feeding Paige. We go the the bank at 3:30pm to get the money for the down payement on the new house...and then go to the showhome and finalize it all! We'll be officially starting to build! Then it's off to dinner with James and Heather.
Is my day busy enough???
