I haven't updated my blog in quite sometime, as you already know, I've been working a lot this last week.
Friday I had the day off, and I basically burned a tank of gas driving all around the city running errands then entire day.
Little T. had his surgery yesterday to remove his adenoids ( http://www.kidshealth.org/kid/health_problems/teeth/adenoids.html ) and tonsils. I went to visit them last night in the hospital....and I have to tell you about my amazing friend L. (T's mother). She is one of the most wonderful mothers I have seen. She shows such love, devotion, compassion, and comfort for her family! I was almost brought to tears watching her soothe her child in pain. She is just fabulous. So anyway...in the middle of my visit in the hospital - she just throws out this "Soooooo...I've been noticing you tired and working so much lately, so I wanted to do something nice for you. I got you this comfy blanket (and she pulls out this AMAZINGLY SOFT microfeece blanket), a Blockbuster gift card and a basket of treats with a travel mug from Second Cup" I WAS IN SHOCK!! Can you imagine??? Here she is with her sick child in the hospital - and she is worried about me?? What a kind heart. I wish my words could really express how wonderfully I think of her.
I left the hosptial around 1am, then went to pick up tipsy (read LOADED/SMASHED) Darren from his poker game...and OH MY! This poor boy REALLY overdid it. I got there and he wanted Denny's! So us sober wifes had to take ourt drunk men to Denny's at 2am. You could probably fill in the rest of the story from your past drinking eposodes.
We got to bed by 3:30am. THANK GOODNESS Paige decided to sleep until 9am today. I got up with her, and we make heart shaped pancakes. Our sitter from last night (my niece) AND Darren are STILL sleeping...so Paige and I are watching a Dora episode and chillin'
We are up for a wonderful day - I'll tell you all about it after it's happened!
