P.B.& J. (The Paige and Blake Journey)

My baby is giving me a little trouble. I went today to the hospital because Dr. was worried baby was still breech, and measuring large for dates. I had an ultrasound and baby is 7lb 10oz (36 weeks and 1 day) and no longer breech! Yeah!! So I have to go ahead to deliver vaginally instead of just going for a c-section. The only problem is that due to baby's size, Dr. is worried that I may get too big to deliver vaginally. He estimates baby will grow at least half a pound a week. So that puts baby at around 9lb 10 oz on due dates. We decided to just go week by week and see how things go. I have a tentative section date of January 4th, so if I don't go sooner naturally, I may just end up with a section after all.

Anyway - just finished painting baby's room. Now I have to wait for my UPS shipment to arrive so I can put up the border I ordered, as well as put the new bedding and all the matching stuff together. We also have to put baby's dresser together, and bring up some newborn clothes from the basement, as well as the carseat. Yikes! So much to do!

I have to work 12 hr shifts Saturday and Sunday this weekend, so needless to say, I'm exhausted!!! Next Thursday is my last day of work, and I am sooo looking forward to just taking care of my body, and getting ready for baby.

Oh - I forgot to mention, I was rear-ended on Dec 6th, so I've been going every 2-3 days to the Chiropractor, and getting massages to help loosen the damaged areas. I also have been trying to arrange for repairs on my SUV, replace Paige's carseat...and all that crap!!!

  • I gave birth to a 9lb 12 oz baby vaginally so don't give up hope.

  • Lily was almost 9 lbs, and my gf KF's daughter was 9lb 7oz - it can be done! Try not to stress about it - the doc could be wrong...

Glad baby is facing the right way! I'll bet the chiro helped that out a bit.
