P.B.& J. (The Paige and Blake Journey)

When I woke up this morning, I was thinking of things to update my blog with, but everything I think of is almost a whine about something or boring. So...do you want to hear it anyways??? If not, stop reading.

A. Why must Darren forget to shut his alarm clock off after he decides to hit snooze, then get up anyway and LEAVE for work? Normally this wouldn't be a problem, however today is my day off, and I worked 14 hrs yesterday. I really did not want to be awoken at 6am. I was SOOO looking forward to sleeping in.

B. Why does costruction have to start at 7am on new homes? I was just drifting back to sleep.....and I hear "bang, bang, bang....zzzzzzzz(saw noise).....zzzzzzzzzzz(drill noise) bang, bang, bang" Repeat this series of sounds until 8am where I now find myself. Laying in bed wishing I could close the windows...but it's too damn hot!!!

C. Why when I have days off of work do I actually manage to get a productive task in. For example, laundry, cleaning the bathrooms, doing the floors, cleaning the living room, or putting up a wall fixture. HOWEVER, when Darren has the day off - it's completely the "DAY OFF"??? How is this fair. Damn. Is this what being a mother is all about?

Really is sounds like I am in a bad mood, but I am not. Just wanted to get those things off my chest. I feel pretty tired, but I am planning on having a good day with my little angel. I took her to a photographers on Tuesday, and I have the most amazing shots of her. I will go with the negatives sometime this week and get them put to disk so I can show you all some.

AND - Yeah!!! Camping this weekend. I can't wait. Who's all in?? Come one come all!!!

  • A. Because the shoe hasn't been on the other foot yet. Just wait until you have to work and he has a day off to seek revenge.

    B. They're usually pretty good about starting as close to 7 am as possible. I think they are trying to get as much work done as possible in the morning so they aren't passing out from the heat.

    C. I think you would still be doing all that hard work on your day off - with or without Paige. But now I see why it took so long to install the moon rays!

  • Ahh, married life...

A - Because he thought you were asleep and wouldn't notice the alarm.

B - Because the people who want to move into those homes are not in a rush! If the new owners wanted to be in them right away, the construction guys wouldn't show up until noon, and they would only do about a half hour of work before stopping for lunch, and then have to go get more supplies and 'forget' to come back.

C - Because they forget that we work just as hard, and have 2 jobs, being a wife and working outside the home. In fact you have 3 jobs, when you throw in the mommy factor. Men have no idea what multitasking really entails. My only suggestion is to leave him a list, and if that doesn't work, and it doesn't make you crazy, withhold certain 'favors' as needed!
