Happy Mother's Day

I've had a relatively nice mother's day so far, except for the fact that I have to go to work tonight for for a 12 hr shift, so I've been sleeping all afternoon.

This morning was nice, Paige and I woke up and made Carrot Cake Muffins with Cream Cheese icing and got all the stuff for brunch ready. We washed blackberries, washed and cut strawberries, made whiped cream, made an egg fritata, cooked sausages and made waffles! It was so much fun doing those things with my girl. She was so helpful in dumping ingredients in the mixer and helping me platter things. She is finally at the age where she can help, it was wonderful.

Mom, Brian, James, and Sara all came over and we had a delicious brunch. After we all stuffed our faces, we vegitated on the couches for a bit. Then Paige, Mom and I headed outside to soak up some sunshine! What a gorgeous morning. I had to wear sunglasses and a hat the weather was so lovely.

Everyone left by 1pm, and then PJ and I went off to bed. Her for her nap, and me to sleep for my night shift. Darren got home from ball around 2:30pm, then whisked her away the moment she woke up so as to not wake me. They are currently out at his mother's acreage for some Mother's Day visit.
