Day Full!

Yesterday I had a day chalked FULL of activity. I will break it down for you!

9:45am - Show up for OB appt. Find out Dr. got called away for a delivery to the hospital. Wait in waiting room until 11:15am for Dr. to come back.

11:20am Dr. comes in exam room to see and me informs me he's been called for an other delivery so only has time to do a quick exam. So yeah...a very rushed internal exam, the doctor barely answers my questions and ushers me out as quickly as possible.

11:30am - Arrive to Olive Garden 30 mins late to meet my dear friend Lynelle for lunch. She is soooo patient. She waited for me, without question! Now there is a good friend. Stuffed myself full, to the point of feeling nauseated.

1:00pm - Quick shopping trip to Motherhood Maternity, can't resist "checking" what's on sale!

1:45pm - Enjoy a 60 minute massage at Sweet Momma Spa....ahhhhh.

3:30pm - Drive around Devon, completely lost, cursing at Mapquest for saying a road was complete that was actually not. Continue randomly looking for a recognizable street to go to.

4pm - Invade Belle Mae, a home business. Buy way too many pairs of Jack and Lily Shoes, some gorgeous Olive Empress products, and some very nice products for my baby belly.

5pm - Drive around Millwood looking for beauty shop to do eyebrow threading. Going on directions, have no shop name.

5:15pm - Enter Indian beauty salon very weary of what is about to happen.

5:30pm - Leave salon with absolute gorgeous eyebrows, completly smooth chin and upper lip. This lady did an AMAIZING job. I will for sure be returning. I can't believe how fast and efficient threading is. I am hooked. Google "eyebrow threading" if you'd like more info.

6pm - Meet Darren and Paige at McD's on Wye Rd for supper. Let PJ play for 30 mins.

7pm - Arrive at Festival Place. Go to Ticketmaster and pick up pre-purchased tickets for the show.

7:30pm - Score sweet seats and watch Bev Facey's production of "Annie". Watch my daughter in amazement and experience a musical through the eyes of my 2 yr old. Magical, truly enjoyable.

10pm - Convince my daughter the play is "really over". Drive home and pass out!!!

I had a very restless sleep last night. The baby was very active and pushing really hard on my sides. I am not sure if the little monkey is trying to flip to head down, but I was very uncomfortable. I am feeling very tired this morning, as I feel like I haven't slept at all. Paige also decided to wake up at 7am, and Darren decided to go in to work for a few hours to help out today. I wish I could have a bed of clouds, that would mould to my body shape and leave me with no pressure points. Ahhh, to sleep, perchance to dream....

Car Sold!

I decided to get my butt in gear and list my Corolla for sale this weekend. I started Saturday morning, and listed it on two different free internet sites. The calls came pouring in! I was shocked! We got soo many calls. And the good news is that we sold it today (on day two for sale) for only $200 less than we were asking. I am very happy that we got a price we felt was fair, and the new owner is a sweet college student who will enjoy my car as much as I did. Is it crazy to feel sentimental over a car you drove for over 10 years? It was almost bittersweet to think that my little "Goldie" would be once again making the rounds of the NAIT parkade again for a few more years.

I smile to think that I know my car has gone to it's new "rightful" owner! :-)

Baby B Update

I had my first visit with my OB today. He asked if I wanted to try for a VBAC, or just schedule a c-section. I asked him if he thought that I could realistically have a VBAC at this point and he said that it was not out of the question. He said we could give the baby some time, and decide later. He did say that he is going by my original dates for gestation (so that's January 10th, 2008.)

He will leave the baby to grow an other two weeks, then we can re-evaluate.
- if the baby appears to be breech, we'll schedule an other ultrasound just to confirm and then most likely schedule a c-section for 1-2 weeks before my due date. (End of Dec, or early Jan.)

- if the baby is head down, I can let my body go in labour when it wants, then attempt a vaginal birth.

So that's where we are now....just a "wait and see" game.

Yesterday I had a fantastic day making my Christmas cards with Jenn. The only problem is that I was increasingly feeling worse with a chest/sinus cold throughout the day. I started feeling sick last Wednesday with a hoarse voice. And it has just been lingering all weekend. My energy level has been extremely low, but I have attributed that to pregnancy. Well last night I got worse, I was asleep before 9pm. Overnight I barely slept. I was up all night coughing my brains out! I went in to work this morning (after an internal debate on calling in sick) and was almost sent home immediatley. I helped them get organized, then I came home. I feel horrible. I have no appetite, but I am thirstier than ever!

I am in bed now, my poor girl is being babysat by Dora as we speak. All I can think of is when I can put her to bed so I can go to bed! I have already called in sick for tomorrow. Hopefully I can sleep better tonight. I think I'll take Paige to the dayhome in the morning, just so I can rest and try to heal a bit.

P.S. If you are wondering why I am not answering your calls, it's because I can barely speak. I really don't have the energy to try either. Hope you are not offended, but we'll have to communicate online for now. :-)

I also have an OB appt. at 3pm to hopefully shed some light on "the plan" as far as baby "B" is concerned!

My little speaker dancer!

Last night we went to a wedding reception for Darren's sister A. She got married in Cuba the end of October. Her reception was held at a bar, but they got a licence to have a private function, so kids were allowed until 11pm. My daughter was in heaven! She loved dancing, and wouldn't leave the dance floor. Here she is speaker dancing, in front of a Jagermeister sign...that's my girl!!!

We had an amazing time...it was way more fun that I was anticipating. I love nights like that.

My family Dr. called me yesterday, and said that I am to call the OB every day to try to get in a last minute visit. I am not scheduled to see him until Nov.29th. She got my ulstrasound results and is "very concerned" and thinks the OB will most likely want to schedule me for a c-section by the "new dates" for 38 weeks - that is the second week of December!!! WTF?!?! I am not ready to have this baby in only one month from now!!

Time to get stuff together - ASAP. Need to bring up baby clothes and the car seat from the basement. Have to wash them and get them ready - just in case!

At my last Dr. appt last week, my Dr. was worried because I was measuring almost 3 weeks larger than I was supposed to be. She wanted me to go for an ultrasound. I went today and we learnt some very interesting facts.

1. Baby is breech !!!

2. By my dates I am due January 10, 2008. This puts me at 30 weeks, and 4 days today. Ultrasound today showed baby at 32 weeks and 5 days!!!

3. Baby has an "estimated" weight of 4lbs and 7 oz. Holy cats!!! That's one big baby.

Here is what our little monkey looks like as of today:

Last night, well in the middle of the night...all of a sudden I felt an earthquake in our room. My bed flopped/crashed to the floor in the center of the head of my bed. Sounds crazy right? Wrong! I woke up hubby and he told me I was "crazy" and to "go back to sleep". I was very disoriented - so I chalked it up to a "crazy preggo dream". I had a hard time falling back asleep and was very uncomfortable - I felt like I kept rolling towards hubby.

My alarm went off at 6:2o am. I got up, turned on my light and saw our bed. Sure enough the top beam had busted and the head of our bed was on the floor, down 1/2 a foot!!!!

Crazy my ass!! Guess who spend the good part of tonight fixing our bed?
