P.B.& J. (The Paige and Blake Journey)

I ended up heading out to the bank, paid the mortgage for Darren, then went to Michaels. I wanted to buy a case for my new Cricut machine, but it was $129!!!! I almost crapped my drawers. The worst thing is they won't let you use the 50% off coupon for it. Ebay - here I come.

I bought Paige some ribbon for her new door name tag I made. She was very excited and picked orange. She informed me that it's her favorite! LOL

We then ventured to Quiznos for some lunch. After we ate, Paige informed me that she had a poopy bum. I checked her pants and she was SOAKED with pee, no poo though!! I hate the Huggies diapers I bought her - they leak ALLLLL THE TIME! I don't know what I was thinking. I couldn't put her soaking wet back in her car seat - I didn't even have any diapers with us (dumb me). So we walked next door to Winners and I bought her some panties and a new outfit. I took her to the bathroom, and OH MY GAWD....you would have thought I was murdering her in there. She was SOOOO pissed off that I didn't have a diaper to put in her. She was screaming and crying, refusing to wear clothes without a diaper. I finally just forced her to get dressed - then immerged from the bathroom carrying her. There were PLENTY of disapproving stares. (I really hate when people judge me without knowing my situation!!) Anyway, I carried her out in to the cold - and then walked her to the car. She finally settled, and I told her we were going home. I asked her to remember she was wearing panties, and try not to "make pee-pee" in her new clothes. She said she would try hard, but was obviously upset. She actually made it home, I put her in a diaper, then put her down for a much needed nap.

Tomorrow I venture to the OB, try to explain to PJ why the doctor is touching my "gina", then get some tubs from IKEA. Wish me luck. No, I will NOT forget spare diapers.

In the home stretch!

It's nice to finally sit, and put my feet up. (Even if it's only for a small amount of time until I have to get something for Paige). I am off work now officially, Christmas and Boxing Day are over, and we are done entertaining. I am semi-ready for baby to arrive.

Darren is at work today, and I wanted to go to IKEA today to pick up a bunch of tubs to organize our pantry. We'll see if I can accomplish this mission. I may just not do it today, for the simple fact that we'll have a baby here within the next week, and I still have things to do to get ready. I really want to just finish the baby's room today. Maybe that is what I'll do.

OR...I might just take a day off, and relax as much as possible.

Gee, so I sound indecisive or what!?!?!?

Nasty, Nasty Stomach Bug!

Saturday night I started to get sick about 3am - and ohhhh....it was disgusting. I was up all night praying to the porcelain gods - from both ends (if you know what I mean!). Finally by 9am it settled, only because there was nothing left inside I'm sure!! I spend the entire day laying down groaning due to the bad stomach cramping. I sipped ginger ale all day, and made multiple trips to the bathroom.

Today Darren is at work, and of course he did not manage to clean up one bit yesterday. We are supposed to be hosting a Boxing Day brunch here, and our home is a diaster! I am still feeling pretty crummy, but at least I can sit up in short spurts today. I'll try eating some dry toast later this morning, if I feel brave. Paige will be "spoiled" today and I'll let her stay in her jammies all day and watch TV. If the weather is nice enough, I'll put her snowsuit on and let her go play outside on our deck for 15 minutes when the sun comes up.

How am I supposed to clean up this house?!?!? I think we are going to cancel brunch. I don't feel well, and I certainly don't want anyone to get sick. Hopefully I'll feel better for Christmas Day tomorrow!

Contrary to what I thought, my neighbor's house is NOT on fire! I went running in to our bedroom five minutes ago and woke Darren up in a panic!

Me: Darren, WAKE UP, I think the neighbor's house is on fire!!!

Darren jumps out of bed in 0.002 seconds and meets me at the window.

Darren: WHERE???

Me: LOOK, up on the roof. There are flames coming out of those exhaust thingys!!

Darren: OH MY GOD DALLAS, that is just the normal venting of their heating system. The SUN is shining behind the smoke making it look like fire!!! You scared the SHIT out of me!!!

Me: Oh.....Sorry.

My baby is giving me a little trouble. I went today to the hospital because Dr. was worried baby was still breech, and measuring large for dates. I had an ultrasound and baby is 7lb 10oz (36 weeks and 1 day) and no longer breech! Yeah!! So I have to go ahead to deliver vaginally instead of just going for a c-section. The only problem is that due to baby's size, Dr. is worried that I may get too big to deliver vaginally. He estimates baby will grow at least half a pound a week. So that puts baby at around 9lb 10 oz on due dates. We decided to just go week by week and see how things go. I have a tentative section date of January 4th, so if I don't go sooner naturally, I may just end up with a section after all.

Anyway - just finished painting baby's room. Now I have to wait for my UPS shipment to arrive so I can put up the border I ordered, as well as put the new bedding and all the matching stuff together. We also have to put baby's dresser together, and bring up some newborn clothes from the basement, as well as the carseat. Yikes! So much to do!

I have to work 12 hr shifts Saturday and Sunday this weekend, so needless to say, I'm exhausted!!! Next Thursday is my last day of work, and I am sooo looking forward to just taking care of my body, and getting ready for baby.

Oh - I forgot to mention, I was rear-ended on Dec 6th, so I've been going every 2-3 days to the Chiropractor, and getting massages to help loosen the damaged areas. I also have been trying to arrange for repairs on my SUV, replace Paige's carseat...and all that crap!!!

I have the next two days off. I am sitting here debating on what to do. I feel very unmotivated. But I do have soo much to do. I am getting really nervous by not having anything ready for baby. I am 35 weeks - so baby could come anytime. I guess I am in denial that I will have this baby anytime soon because of Paige being so late. I may get a burst of energy at some point today and begin painting the baby's room. I really don't think that will take me long. I would like to get it painted so we can start pulling stuff up from the basement. Anyone want to come over and help me paint today or tomorrow??? I have ordered lots of stuff online that I am waiting for. Can't wait to see it all together!

Here is the bedroom set I ordered:

We'll be getting the hamper, window valance, bedskirt, bumper pad, crib sheet, quilt, diaper stacker, night light, plate switch cover, and 30 feet of wall border.
