On a lighter note, next time you see Paige, ask her how Mommy's deodorant stick tasted! Yup, she somehow got a hold of my stick, got the lid off and had a taste. Poor thing was gagging and almost threw up. Can't say I blame her - YUCK!!!

So far everyone I know is doing okay, but I still have a terrible feeling about something.
On a lighter note, next time you see Paige, ask her how Mommy's deodorant stick tasted! Yup, she somehow got a hold of my stick, got the lid off and had a taste. Poor thing was gagging and almost threw up. Can't say I blame her - YUCK!!!

I have this sense of impending doom, and can't shake it. I just feel like something really bad is going to happen, but I don't know what! I hate it. I have a terrible flutter in my stomach like someone is REALLY in trouble. I am shaky a little too.
What is happening? I hope everyone I know is safe and doing well. I just ca't shake this feeling.

Advice for new couples:
1. Do NOT ever attempt to put together a new Ikea bed frame on the hottest night of the year. There will be severe backlash from all parties involved despite best intentions.
2. Keep your spouse well hydrated on such hot days.
3. Keep your spouse well fed on such hot days. Lack of food and water can highten one's ability to squabble over insignificant details.
4. Should you be allowing your toddler to assist in the "putting the bed together process" , under no circumstances should you trust her to really "give" pieces to Daddy. Not following rule #4 verbatim will result in a top to bottom bedroom search of a small black screwy thingy that goes in some hole. No, Ikea does NOT give you extra ones in the pack.
5. Remember, always, to reward your sigificant other with sexual favors on the night of such a "bed-putting-together" event.
There you have it. A true recipe for a happy marriage.

Yesterday we got the proceeds from the sale of our Condo. I am so happy today, I am paying off ALL our debts. Except for our mortgage, we'll be completely debt free. What an amazing relief, and sense of freedom.
I slept until 8:30am and I feel like a million bucks. I am also going shopping today - got a little furnishing to do for the new house!!! I am going to visit a good friend with her twin girls.
Have a great day friends.

What is it about me that says "yes" anytime my bosses ask me to stay overtime. I CAN'T say no! It is virtually IMPOSSIBLE for me to turn down $50 an hour to work at a place I love. I mean really, I am there already, why not stay longer and make some real cashola? Right? Yeah, right. Yesterday I was there from 7am to 11pm. My co-workers think I'm nuts, but I think it's logical.
Today I went to Fort Edmonton Park for my company's picnic. It was lame ass. Nothing was open, just a big bunch of people eating a shitload of beef (aka. burgers) and kids running wild. I guess I'll appreciate it more when PJ is old enough to run around and be a wild child with the rest of them. I know one thing's for sure. She will not be like some of the kids I saw today - picking coins from a fountain, then cheering "Sweet - 50 cents! Just what I wanted". AND I will not be one of those mothers who just lets him "keep it" because he doesn't "want" to throw it back! Really, some people's children.

What Flavor Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream Are You?
Leaving camping in a few hours. Yes...it's raining, but when Darren makes his mind up about something...you get the rest.
I checked online with the weather network, hoping to find a place in Alberta that was not cloudy and raining. Apparently there is a massive storm system over the entire province, and half of BC.
Yup, it will be a hot chocolate and Bailey's weekend for me. Last time we went I was preggers, so couldn't "indulge". This weekend I have a lot of "making up" to do!!!
Here is my gorgeous girl from last weekend's wedding. She is such an angel!!

Oh...and the condo is all spiffy clean for the new owners. I have to stop off over there to drop off the bottle of wine and the bouquet of flowers I have for the new owners. I am sooo happy to be fully, and officially totally moved in. Now...to clean up our garage...oh dear!!!

My day...
I just got home from work at 10:30pm!!! I started at 7am. But we had big problems with a lady who had an emergency c-section with twins at 32 weeks. I had to intubate TWO babies and put them on the ventilator!! It was crazy!!!
I put them on CPAP first..but it was not enough...then we had to intubate and give surfactant. What an experience. It's been a while since I've had to so any of that so it was great for me. I was actually ENJOYING my time with the newborns.....
(sorry if this doesn't make any sense to you...just had to get it out.)

I know...I'm REALLY behind on this blogging thing. But I've been really busy! We got possession of our new house on May 11th (also my birthday), and I've been spending every "extra" moment unpacking, or shopping to decorate this new home. I've run out of money, so my shopping is on hold until the sale of our old condo goes through in a few weeks. I heard that the condos where we lived are now selling for 30,000 more than what we sold! That's crazy!!
So, I am working (not enough if you ask me), and trying to absorb as much of Peanut, PJ, Princess Pea as humanly possible. Today, for the second time in her life, Paige left IKEA in only her diaper. She had a MAJOR blow out! (Carrie...I can't wait for you to discover what "blow outs" are!! He He He). At least this time I had a spare outfit in the car. I just didn't bring the diaper bag in with me because I was only returning some curtains, AND it was only once I was inside the store that I discovered the "wetness" on my arm was not sweat...but in fact poo....Yup....poo. Good thing for those free diaper bins in the washrooms, and lots of really nice smelling soap.
